That'll do Cowboy, That'll Do

You ride em hard each and every day,
Through wind, snow and sun, the ponies do play.
Your mecate, saddle, boots, spurs and chaps
are your working duds.(let's not forget that hat!!)

You know how to ask each one the right questions,
Be it horse, donkeys, mustang or mule.
They all eagerly give up their secrets,
When they come to the Foster's school.

Your hands have the touch,
Your seat, the right feel.
Your long legs cradle,
A spur jingles on each heel.

A Poem for our favorite Cowboy,
by Cindy and Kohani
We come to you to learn for a while
Along with our equine friends.
We all witness a bit of your magic,
And try our best to pretend.

"Hands up, kiss and squeeze",
"You're all right," is what we hear.
We feel safest in your presence
and wish you could always stay near.

Like a gook parent, you send us off
along with our trusted steeds.
To build on our strengths and trust in
ourselves,
To conquer those trails, indeed!

Your work will go on with someone new
Another in trouble, most likely a few.
Take a day for yourself and your loved
ones, too!!
That'll do Cowboy, that'll do...
